..the unfinished swan

seriously, what the fuck? there i am, playing some "the unfinished swan" to calm down after "the walking dead". and after half an hour or so i have to switch it off, cuz my head can't handle it. yeah, you read it right - i'm fine with the zombies, but throwing black paint-balls is too much! motion sickness found me once more! i'm kinda used to it from "portal" or "batman: arkham asylum" (played 10min of the demo, decided that unfortunatly it was too much), but a "childs"game??? ah well, so i'm gonna play it bit by bit! i think i left the worst aka the labyrinth behind me now. so many corners, turns and not exactly knowing where a room ends, seems to have been too much for my brain! ;)
the game is not completely white though. even before the labyrinth, shadows got implemented. so that next to the ever present white, the golden statue-parts you come across from time to time, the balloons you can collect, the orange foot-prints of the swan you are following and the black paint you throw around, there is some gray now - making some walls and forms visible. but i liked the beginning more, where you really had to throw the paint to get a clue what your surrounding is about and where there is a way to go. well, of course the grey is part of the story. I just hope that throwing the balls won't get unnecessary. such a nice idea, i wanna use it some more! i'm gonna keep playing - hopefully longer than half an hour!

...the walking dead

"the walking dead" just sounded so amazing, even though i wasn't sure if i could handle the game, would be too afraid or what not, i started playing it! and i have to say, it was worth it! i'm within the third episode now - first time that i couldn't watch the screen while pressing the x on my playstation controller.. bad thing is: i knew that scene would come. like another before that, that really really sucks! cuz i got spoilered while listening to the gameone plauschangriff podcast. yes, yes, stupid me.. why did i? well, as mentioned before, i thought i wouldn't even touch the game. probably wouldn't have if it weren't for the podcast... and still, though knowing everything up to the end of episode three.. one does hope that some decisions you make, could somehow lead to another constellation. fiddlesticks!!! the third episode gave me a first visual glitch - on the train.. cuz it was getting Late, i stopped playing at that point and will continue there soonish (hopefully without the glitch).
on the same time as i started with "the walking dead", i started playing "the unfinished swan". nice thing to calm down ;) so more about that soonish!
